Awesome BGH Ladies weekend!

A crew of 17 ladies signed up for the BGH ladies intermediate camp held over the weekend in Rossland. The camp started off 8am at Revolution Cycles with a beautiful array of fruits, homemade baking (thanks Carole) smoothies, tea and some retail therapy!! Thanks to Revolution for opening early for us!

The ladies were then split into 3 groups and went out with the 3 awesome coaches, Linette from Penticton, Natasha from Rossland and Deb from Nelson. Excited and a little nervous everyone set about to achieving their goals for the weekend. For some it was gaining more confidence, others more technical aspects but the one common goal for everyone was about having FUN and meeting some like minded awesome ladies who all LOVE biking!

I was fortune to go out with the beginner group, a diverse group with some whom had crossed-over from road cycling, and a couple of girls who were riding hard tails, most were from out of town and the Rossland trails provided to be challenging and fun for everyone. By the end of the weekend all of the ladies had gone beyond their comfort zone and were all still smiling, even with a few crashes along the way.

The intermediate and advanced groups had the opportunity to be shuttled up pay dirt (thanks Red Mountain!!) and all the girls had a great time riding this trail, again with everyone being challenged while meeting and exceeding their goals. And riding some fun new trails!

Lunch time on both the Saturday and Sunday were awesome with Ian whipping up some delish meals! (Thanks Ian!!) The ladies even had a tail gate party on Saturday night with prizes from our sponsors BGH and Rocky Mountain Bikes! Overall it was a great weekend had by all, now we are planning a trip to Silver Star! Keen???
