AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS
Kootenay Mountain Bike Coaching offers a mountain biking school program that will help your young riders progress safely with the skills they need to develop a true love of the sport. With courses for all levels we have something for everyone.
Rossland Rippers FALL PROGRAMS 2015
This afterschool program is ideal for riders who have some trail experience and want to improve their riding and meet other kids who ride. The series will be a combination of skill development in a controlled environment and on the trail. Weeks one & three will be on man made features enabling the young riders to develop and practice their skills safely. Weeks two & four the riders will apply these skills on appropriate trails within Rossland. Trail rides include a shuttle back to Mclean Elementary. Skills and progressions include: balance and body position, braking, descending, cornering (slow & high speed), flow, maneuvering over and around manmade obstacles, wheel lifts & safety and trail etiquette. They will also go through basic bike maintenance (changing tire, cleaning bike, lubing chain).
Co-Ed Intermediate Rippers- TUESDAYS (lvl 3/4)
Dates: Sept 15th - Oct 6th, 2015 (4 weeks)
Age: 11-14yrs
Time: 3-5pm
Level: 3/4 - Trails include Milky Way, Larch/MC/BS, Tamerack (down)
Meet Location: RSS Playground

Co-ed Little Rippers- WEDNESDAYS (lvl 1/2)
Dates: Sept 16th - Oct 7th (4 weeks)
Age: 7-12yrs
Time: 3-5pm
Level: 1/2 - Trails include Louie Joes, Cemetary, Green Door

CASTLEGAR AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM

Designed for the rippers in Castlegar. We will do some skills work on our mini stunt park and hit up some fun Castlegar trails (Hail Merry, Lower Grand E). Last session will be a road trip to Rossland to ride one of their trails.

Got a keen little biker?? Give them the opportunity to finish their biking season strong with a coached ride Sunday mornings at Morning Mountain. The session will include skills, trail rides, coaching and more.

RAIN/SNOW/SLEET - OUR POLICY! As we all know the weather around here changes pretty quick, so we will meet for the camps every day despite the weather - EXCEPT if there is a precipitation warning and/or it is raining hard at 2:30pm then it will be cancelled. In the case that we meet and it is a little wet we will decide at the time if we ride but may shorten the camp.
MAIN CONCERNS: Safety and Value to you. We understand you are not paying for daycare! We can take the kids inside to watch mountain bike skills and riding videos and if you would like us to run the camps despite the weather we can do this. However, if it is not going to be fun to be on our bikes for too long we will still go for a ride but will adjust the camp to suit the weather and adjust the cost accordingly.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
If the camp is cancelled due to weather or low numbers you will receive a full refund (less admin cost) or full credit.
General Policy - More than 10 days full refund less processing fees, 4-10 days full refund less administration fee of 15%, 3 days or less no refund.
