KASLO BIKE KAMP, JULY 2015
Week 1: Beginner Camp
The purpose of this course is to focus on skills in safe environment and then applying those skills on the trail.
When: July 2nd & 3rd, 2015
Time: 9.30am - 2.30pm
Age: 5-7 yrs, 8-12yrs
Levels: 1-2
COST: $109 plus GST
Day 1: Morning: Skill practice/learning session at Arena
Afternoon: Short easy ride, skill games at Arena
Day 2: Morning: Games followed by short easy ride
Afternoon: Wagon Road to beach (if we have lifeguard which I may be able to wrangle) or Wagon Road back to Arena for drill recap and wrap up.
Week 2: Intermediate Camp
The purpose of this course is to focus on building skills in safe environment, progression onto manmade features in the park, building confidence and both fundamental and more advanced skills. Learn how to change a flat tire and trail etiquette.
When: July 6-8, 2015 with an optional add on of July 9th & 10th, 2015
Time: 9.30am - 2.30pm
Age: 8-12 yrs
Level: 2-3
COST: $159 plus GST
Day 1: Morning; Group assessment, skill practice/learning session at Arena
Afternoon: Trail Ride
Day 2: Morning; Trail ride
Afternoon; skills, games, drills, features, short trail ride
Day 3: Morning: Short ride or park time - do something low energy, flat tire workshop, work on specific skills they may have issues with.
Afternoon: No Brakes Ride.
Week 2: Extended: Advanced Camp
The purpose of this course is to build on skills taught during camp; adding advanced drills, features, progression and a day trip to ride some trails on the North Shore of Nelson.
When: July 9th & 10th, 2015
Time: 9.30am - 2.30pm
Age: 8-12yrs
Level: 3-4
COST: $109 plus GST
Day 1: Morning: Park time, advanced drills, working on specific areas and choosing skill to learn and teach on Friday morning. (homework from previous course)
11am - 1pm - Trail building workshop /Bike maintenance workshop
Afternoon: Trail Ride - No Brakes.
Day 2: Full day shuttled trail riding - load up to ride the North Shore.
Afternoon: Day will end with skill demonstration and lesson from each participant.

Payment MUST be made IN FULL at time of registration to confirm a spot.

Funding approval may take 6-8 weeks. When our registration staff receive the JumpStart subsidy, they will initiate a refund process to the parent, this process could take 4-6 weeks.
WHO IS THIS CLINIC FOR:
Join our KASLO CLINICS JULY 2ND & 8TH. Come out to one or both evenings to develop your skills, which will enable you to ride more confidently on steeper, faster and more technical trails!
These clinics are designed to introduce you to the foundation skills of mountain biking and help you refine yours; understand the foundation skills and build confidence. The sessions will focus on building your confidence through drills and stunts/features before heading out to practice the skills on the trails. You will complete these sessions with enhanced riding skills, confidence, fitness and be inspired to ride more.
