Our Alpine Snowshoe Day Trips will get you out in the Kootenay Backcountry; we will show you our secret trails and not so secret trails, introduce you to safe backcountry practices and teach you a little about the science behind the snow. You will learn to pick a route, navigate using a compass and how to be prepared and confident for safe recreation in the backcountry.
We have day trips for everyone; Beginner Ladies to Advanced Co-Ed Groups, Custom Trips and Special Occasions. Regardless of your Fitness, Experience or Background snowshoeing is a Safe, Fun and Social way to get out into the wilderness and enjoy the beauty of winter.
Your guide will choose the trail based on the best snow conditions to get you the freshest tracks. Acquire backcountry skills, like measuring snow depth and the intricacies in snow crystals. With great views we will be stopping to catch our breath, enjoy the beauty and getting photos to prove we were there!

Join our professional guides for a fun and informative hour and a half snowshoe tour through the serene snow covered terrain. Join us for our evening series or come out on one of our morning adventures.
The excursions will include instruction on how to put your shoes on, good technique as well as a history of snowshoeing, snowshoe technology and local lore.
Our guides will show you our secret untracked trails. As well as teaching you navigation skills and safe backcountry practices so you can find them again on your own.

Our tours can be anywhere from an hour to five hours depending on your group. We will customize your tour for your groups ability. Your guide will take you through beautiful forest trails, guests will then enjoy a roaring fire, and apres from hot chocolate to full fondue dinner at one of our cozy winter cabins.
